We are looking to identify a Health Professional at the University of Minnesota to help lead and collaborate with Dr. Jari Laukkanen, leading Sauna Researcher.
Dr. Jari Laukannen with be hands on, and key contributor to this project.
Dr. Laukkanen: “It will be great if this is a realistic plan and we could make it possible. We are looking for a researcher or researchers who are working in the similar research field (cardiovascular disease, risk factors, population studies etc.).”

Dr. Laukkanen is the World leader in sauna health research. We are appreciative of the opportunity to have cooperation between the University of Minnesota, United States and the University of Jyväskylä, Finland.
Study Parameters
100 persons total.
- 50 persons Control Group.
- 50 persons: Study Group
All participants will undergo a series of studies that will involve clinical examination. This can be modified as we are developing protocols in collaboration.
Some additional information for the study population in a 12 weeks randomized sauna exposure study:
Asymptomatic participants of both genders (maybe with cardiovascular risk factors). The inclusion criteria of study participants is/could be that resting blood pressure should be around from 130-160 mmHg for systole and 75-95 mmHg for diastole.
